● Sun Chemical Corporation, a manufacturer of printing inks and
organic pigments, has agreed to purchase Bayer
Corporation’s organic pigments business, located in Bushy
Park, SC. Pending approval by regulatory groups, transfer
of ownership was expected by April 1.
The Bushy Park facility manufactures Bayer’s Indofast,
Perrindo, Quindo and Palomar organic pigments used in
coatings for automotive, industrial and architectural applications
and for coloring plastics and fibers. The Bushy Park
facility employs approximately 180 people.
